Bintan Lagoon Golf

• Sea View Course

Jack Nicklaus (1996) 18 holes - 7,046 yds - Par 72

A classic Nicklaus course, this signature course features all the trademarks of the "Big Bear"; large bunkers along the fairways, good use of the natural surrounding and challenging water hazards, yet all clearly visible form to tee to green to allow players to plan their strategies. Unfolding over a varied terrain going through wooded and open areas, the course afford nice views over the South China Sea

• Woodlands Course

Ian Baker-Finch (1996) 18 holes - 6,792 yds - Par 72

Designed with the front nine holes snaking out from the resort and the back nine to the clubhouse, the Woodlands course has been laid over dramatically changing terrain. The main feature of this course is the large undulation of the natural landscape. The overall concept for the Ian Baker-Finch course was to work closely with the natural site. Many of the greens are surrounded by steep slopes and mounds to create an amphitheatre effect. It will entice, challenge and reward the seasoned player, while the less experienced will find it flexible enough to suit their ability.

Bintan Island

Bintan Island

Bintan Island is the largest of 3,200 islands in the Riau Archipelago. Sited opposite Singapore, at the crossroad of one of the world’s oldest and busiest maritime trading routes connecting the Indian Ocean with the South China Sea, Bintan has provided a safe haven to traders for centuries - the alter ego of Singapore. Singapore airport being the gateway to Bintan, a stay and a round of golf in town is highly recommended. The Sentosa Resort & Golf Club features two championship courses and the city-state at large boasts some twelve courses, many designed by leading golf architects.

Most international travellers arrive from Singapore and Johor Bahru and the ride itself across the strait is worth the trip, which take less than an hour with the resort own fast ferry. There is also a regional airport with domestic flights only, including Jakarta.
