Nexus Resort Karambunai is an award winning resort situated on the northeastern coast of Borneo, north of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah State's capital. Nexus Resort Karambunai accommodation is distributed between two wings, both appointed to luxury standards. Sabah's oldest course, This challenging championship course was designed by Robert Muir Graves and acknowledged as one of South East Asia's toughest courses. Play is by member arrangement. The club facilities include golfers' lounge, tennis/squash courts, practice green, golf set rental, changing rooms, restaurants, gym, games rooms, pool and driving range.

The Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club, in Tuaran, about 35km North East of Kota Kinabalu, is part of the luxurious and popular Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort. Designed by E & G Parslow and sculptured from a former mangrove swamp, the offers a challenging round of golf for the experienced and avergae players alike. With the ever present imposing Mount Kinabalu in the backdrop, the layout runs along the Tambalang and Mengkabong rivers. One of the highest altitude courses in the world at over 1800 metres, undulating with ravines, rivers, lakes, farmlands and valleys and stunning, cool rainforest scenery. Situated on the foothills of Mount Kinabulu, the highest peak in Borneo and South East Asia, with spectacular views of the mountain and surrounding farmlands of Kundasang and Kota Kinabalu. The course is located in Kinabalu Park, Malaysia's first World Heritage Site. Its diverse flora is in part owing to the region's wide temperature range. Golfers will find this 18-hole course physically as well as mentally challenging to say the least. Ever-present winds, steep slopes, and rolling mists will test you to your limits. Some days the fog can be so thick you could think you were really playing among the clouds.

Kinabalu Park, in the State of Sabah on the northern end of the island of Borneo, is dominated by Mount Kinabalu (4,095 m), the highest mountain between the Himalayas and New Guinea. It has a very wide range of habitats, from rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest to tropical mountain forest, sub-alpine forest and scrub on the higher elevations. It has been designated as a Centre of Plant Diversity for Southeast Asia and is exceptionally rich in species with examples of flora from the Himalayas, China, Australia, Malaysia, as well as pan-tropical flora.
