Four Seasons Resort
The Resort's unique architecture is inspired by the natural flora and fauna, carefully following Costa Rica's stringent environmental standards to create a retreat that blends in with its surrounding - no building is taller than the treetops. On the western slope of the peninsula, guest rooms are spread out in low rise buildings near the water, while private Residences and Suites are perched on top of the hill. Between the two beaches lie the Resort’s main facilities.
Guest rooms and suites are crafted with indigenous woods and stone finishes, each with a spacious outdoor terrace or balcony enjoying mesmerizing vistas. Sliding louvered doors between sleeping and living spaces maximise privacy while letting in the refreshing sea breeze.
The resort’s four restaurants celebrates the beauty of the location. The Italian Di Mare cuisine is inspired by local produce and seafood, the casual Papagayo serves buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Congo's is a shaded pavilion offering grilled specialities next to the pools and beaches. Designed with the resort golfer in mind, the course rests in a spectacular setting on the tip of the Papagayo Peninsula. Cooled by the prevailing breezes from the Pacific, it affords sweeping ocean views from most of its holes. These are provided with multiple tees, ample undulating fairways with dramatic elevation changes and strategic bunkering, and large greens with exciting contouring.
Overlooking the 18th hole and the Pacific Ocean, Caracol Clubhouse was named after its unique roof, designed to mimic the shape of a conch shell - caracol in Spanish. The Clubhouse features a restaurant serving lunch and steak house style dining, a proshop and a resident pro offering clinics and private lessons.

Exteding over hilly gorunds between the tropcial rain forest and the Pacific Ocean, this stunning course feature elevated tees affording good views of the holes and their natural surrounding. Water hazards, large tree, clever bunkering and well protected greens call for course management and careful approach shots. A challenging course leading to a beautiful clubhouse ovrlooking the ocean and the Catalinas islands. The resort also includes a Westin hotel and a beach club.

Quite flat and pretty long, this beautifull layout extends inland from the beach through dense stand of magnificent trees, some of them century old. The two return nines require distance cpntrol form tee to greens, the later well defended. There is plenty of wildlife roaming around and players share the fairways and rough with iguanas and monkeys. The resort also features a 4-star hotel and a JW Marriott, while villas and townhouses are available for rent.

George & Tom Fazio (1970’s) Parkland
Designed by George Fazio and laid out by his nephwe Tom in the arly 1970’s, Cariari was the first full eighteen hole golf course in Costa Rica and only championship layout in Central America for nearly twenty years. Built over a former coffee plantation at the outskirts of San Jose, the course enjoys a splendid parkland setting, its fairways rolling between stands of mature trees. Conveniently located near the international airport, your most probable gateway to the country, it is nevertheless a private club and an invitiation will be necessary to play.
The Guanacaste province is the norheasternmost region of Costa Rica, extending along the Pacific coast and bordering with Nicaragua to the north. Bounded to the east by the volcanoes of the Cordillera de Guanacaste, the moutain range slope down westerly to rolling farmland and the beaches of the Pacific ocean. Guanaste enjoys a tropical climate with two different seasons: The dry one runs form November to April, whole the rainy seaons runs from May to October, although rain is reduced to a couple of showers daily.

A rich ecosystem of rivers, marshland, mangroves and dry forest, Palo Verde National Park and Wildlife Refuge offers a perfect oportunity to discover Costa Rico’s beuatiful natural environment, teaming with crocodiles, monkeys and iguanas and over 300 species of birds. Tours in flat-bottomed boat offer the best way to discover the park's wildlife.
El Aromal Horseback Riding
A riding excursion at El Aromal offers a perfect way to explore the backcountry and experience the tradtional horseback riding culture of Guanacaste's vaqueros (Cowboys) and their vast cattle ranches.
