Along the Sheboygan River, the River Wildlife is a country club and wilderness preserve encompassing over 500 acres of unspoiled land where to enjoy the great outdoors.

All designed by the legendary Pete Dye, Kohler boasts four championship golf courses ranked amongst the country’s top facilities. Carved out a former glacier valley, Blackwolf Run has two courses which have hosted the US Women’s Open and the World Championship of Golf. The River Course follows the meandering Sheboygan River bank while Meadow Valleys extends over windswept plains and rolling hills intertwined with wooded glades and ponds. Nine miles north of Kohler, Whistling Straits offers two splendid courses, venues of the PGA Championship and scheduled to host another two as well as the Ryder Cup in 2020. The Straits Course is a links masterpiece sculpted along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, while the Irish course lies just inland from the lake, interspersed by meandering streams, grassland and dunes.

Balckwolf Run Golf

Balckwolf Run Golf

Carved out a former glacier valley, Blackwolf Run has two courses which have hosted the US Women’s Open twice (1998 & 2012) and the World three years in a arow Championship of Golf (1995, 96 & 97). The River Course follows the meandering Sheboygan River bank while Meadow Valleys extends over windswept plains and rolling hills intertwined with wooded glades and ponds.

• The River Course

Pete Dye (1988-90) 18 holes - Par 72 - 6,991 yds - SSS 74.9 - Slope 151

Another Dye design that makes full use of the natural setting, especially the Sheboygan River that crosses the entire resort on its way to Lake Michigan. Very picturesque and challenging, the layout presents a nice variety of holes, hazards and lies with steeply banked tree-lined fairways, plateau greens and dramatic elevation changes.

• The Meadow Valleys Course

Pete Dye (1988-90) 18 holes - Par 72 - 7,142 yds - SSS 74.7 - Slope 143

Although not as famous as its sister River Course, The Meadow Valleys Course display perhaps the best contiguous nine holes on the property. The front nine meander over a high, grassy meadow, while the back nine weave sharply through a series of wooded glacial valleys.

 • Kholer Golf Academy

Ranked in the top 50 best golf schools in America, Kohler Golf Academy provides year round golf instruction with practice facilities at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits during the golf season and at the Kohler Golf Academy Indoor Studio, located at The Shops at Woodlake, during the off season.

Whistling Straits Golf

Whistling Straits Golf

Nine miles north of Kohler, Whistling Straits offers two splendid courses inspired by the rwaness of traditional Irish links yet on Lake Michigan’s shores, venues of several PGA Championship. The Straits Course is a links masterpiece sculpted along two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline, while the Irish course lies just inland from the lake, interspersed by meandering streams, grassland and dunes.

Transportation to Whistling Straits is offered a complimentary shuttle departing from The American Club and Inn on Woodlake at the top of the hour. and leaving Whistling Straits at the bottom of the hour back to both hotel. This shuttle runs daily from 6 AM to 10:30 PM

• The Straits Course

Pete Dye (1998) 18 holes - Par 72 - 7,362 yds - SSS 76.7 - Slope 151

Out of a 560-acre piece of flat land, Dye sculpted a bit of Ireland and a touch of Scotland out of Lake MIchigan coastline. Dye and his team had to move huge amount of earth to transform a once featureless abandoned airfield into a spectaclur links. About every hole on the course provide lake view, which is large enough to look as the Irish sea, while featuring a great umber of bunkers and grassy mounds reminiscent of Ballybunion.

Venue of PGA Championships 2004, 2010 & 2015 + 2020 Ryder Cup

Walking course/Caddies required

• The Irish Course

Pete Dye  (2000) 18 holes - Par 72 - 7,201 yds - SSS 75.6 - Slope 146

An inland grass-and-dune layout, the Irish Course is not as famous as its neighbour The Straist, yet rated more difficult to play as it is trouble-filled with forced carries, thick rough, ponds, streams, ravines, and huge waste bunkers. It doesn't have either the scenic lake views of the Straits, although some holes have views, but the shot values at the Irish are still remarkable.

Walking only course/Caddies available

• Kholer Golf Academy

Ranked in the top 50 best golf schools in America, Kohler Golf Academy provides year round golf instruction with practice facilities at Blackwolf Run and Whistling Straits during the golf season and at the Kohler Golf Academy Indoor Studio, located at The Shops at Woodlake, during the off season.

• The Clubhouse

Elegantly rustic, the clubhouse is reminiscent of an old Irish country farmhouse.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin

Wisconsin

Bordering the Great Lakes Superior and Michigan, the varied terrain of Wisconsin offers visitors some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Midwest. The rolling hills and fertile land of the east, on the shores of Lake Michigan, have made it a prime agricultural area reputed for its dairies, though it is also home to several of the state's major urban centres, such as Milwaukee. The northern corner is covered by wooded hills doted with hundred of small glacial lakes. In central Wisconsin, the scene shifts to sharp buttes and plateau, while the western area gives way to limestone and sandstone bluffs. The diverse geography does sahre one common feature thouth: the pristine beauty of its counryside.

Milwaukee

Although not the sate capital, Milwaukee is Wisconsin's largest city. It began as a Native American settlement and then an outpost for French fur traders and missionaries. But it only started to develop as a city in the 1800s, when waves of German immigrants settled on the shores of lake Michigan, bringing with them the art of beer brewing. Milwaukee went on to become known as the nation’s beer capital, home to MIller brewery, and a major commercial and manufacturing cenrer. Nevertheless, Milwaukee's brew pub culture, summer music festivals and strong German heritage make it feel more like a small town of friendly neighbourhoods. Established in 1855, the Miller Brewery is a city landmark and guided tours are organised.
