The small South Pacific island nation of Fiji is known in the golfing world for being the home place of Vijay Singh. The main island of Viti Levu has four eighteen hole golf courses.

• Nadi Airport Golf Club

Vijay Singh home club

The 18 hole championship course fronts onto Wailoaloa Beach on one side, backs onto the International airport runway the other & has rugged mountain range views as a back drop.  This is a very scenic golf course as all 18 holes offer ocean, island & mountain views!

• Fiji Golf Club

The Fiji Golf Club is located within the city of Suva. This club hosts many competitions but is often open to visitors. Its well-grassed greens and fairways and level course are worth the wait, which may be encountered at weekends. Golfers face the challenge of aiming for well-bunkered holes on tree-lined fairways.

• The Pearl - Pacific Harbour Golf Resort

Robert Trent Jones II &  Gary Roger Baird (1977)

The layout, extending to just less than 7,000 yards, lies on the southern coast of Vita Levu and its esteemed design team managed to incorporate water hazards into no fewer than twelve of the eighteen holes on the scorecard. Pacific Harbour hosted the World Amateur Championships the year after it opened, in 1978

• Natadola Bay Golf Resort

Based on a design by Vijay Singh (2009)

Fiji’s latest golf addition, this championship golf course lies on the world renowned Natadola Beach on Fiji's Coral Coast. Natadola Bay blends world class golf architecture with dramatic Fijian landscapes on the absolute beachfront. With the sparkling backdrop of white sandy beaches and coral reefs on 15 out of the 18 holes, keeping your concentration will certainly be a challenge!

Fiji & Viti Levu Islands

Fiji & Viti Levu Islands

Viti Levu is the heart of Fiji's 333 islands and the largest one. A island of lush mountainsides showcasing volcanic peaks and lush river valleys running out to barrier reefs. The English-speaking former British colony is home to 75% of the country's population and Fiji's capitla, Suva. The inhabitants are a unique mix of native Melanesian Fijians, Indians, whose ancestors came from India as labour force during the British colonial times, and a small number of Europeans and Chinese.

the opulation is mainly concentrated on the cost, as the mountainous interiors are of difficult access. A nation of trademen, the country as a whole is seeing a trend toward urbanization, towns tend to have large Indo-Fijian populations while most Melanesians remain in the same villages and  houses inhabited by their ancestors since long before European colonisation. Fiji's Melanesians have a strong tradition of hospitality in complement to their communal lifestyle and are considered to be among the friendliest people in the world, although they were known as the “Canibal Islands” by the first Europeans discoverers for their fierceness and customs to eat their enemies !
